Monitor question...

I recently purchased a new 24. GHz Intel Core Duo iMac and I've got a question about the display. It seems that as I tilt the display there is a major color change, not unlike a gradient from light to dark, from the top to the bottom of the display. At first I though this was normal due to some sort of technological constraint in monitors, but after checking things out on another iMac of the same type I'm starting to think I may have a defective display.

Anyone else run into this type of thing? Heard anything about it? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Cheers'

I have not heard of this, but if you purchased it from Apple (online or retail store) then you can just take it back there with you and they can check it out and replace it if needed. You have like 1 year on the system. (I think actually, even if you did not buy it directly from Apple, you can still make an appointment with the Genius bar and they will look at it and do the service. If you do not have AppleCare then you still have 1year of warranty for most things.)

I have seen the same problem with my windows laptops but not on my 24" iMac. May be defective monitor. Have you tried to calibrate your monitor with Huey or Spyder2 ? Might be worth a try if you haven't done so.
