Any musicians out there?

topic posted Mon, May 5, 2008 - 9:18 PM by  Arrow
I was wondering if there are any Mac users out there who can recommend a good music transcriber to slow down the tempo of songs you like to learn how to play. I'm using the evaluation version of Transcribe! at present, but it doesn't read M4P files, which is the format iTunes downloads most of the songs in.

Bit of a 'tard when it comes to computers, so if anyone also knows how to change the format of an M4P file to something that might be readable, that would be helpful too.

If you mean m4a, then there is a simple way to convert it to an mp3. Burn it to a cdrom and import it from the cdrom. It will come in as an MP3. There are other methods, but this is a simple one. Once it is a an mp3, it will have no DRM (digital rights management) and you can copy it and do whatever you want with it.

Hoco: The extension is M4P, I've never heard of it before yesterday. That's a good idea to convert it to a CD to see if I can then play it back on Transcribe. I'll definitely try that

The rev: Haven't tried that one yet, but I'll look into it to see if they convert M4Ps.

      Thanx to you both!
