Well... I'm a bit disappointed.
There is new cool graphics stuff for gamers. But I'm not a gamer.
A price drop for updated laptops would have been awesome. Instead, the price for the new macbooks is 20% higher than the old macbook.
I'm also not thrilled with the design. The colorful clamshell and the all-white ibook were bold, solid design decisions. The black and gray of the new macbook seems rather bland and "pc" like. I think to achieve the vast improvements in the tech and manufacturing, apple had to sacrafice a bit in the visual design of the laptops. But, perhaps it looks better in person than on the screen.
Oh well... -

CERT Alert TA08-288A (NOT FOR MAC's)
Wed, October 15, 2008 - 2:48 PMSorry St0shEr,
I got these alerts as an admin for a Windows network. These are for the Windows versions. The fixes and patches refer to WSUS which is a Windows server tool we use to update Windows machines.
The original alert is here: www.us-cert.gov/cas/techal...8-288A.html
The Microsoft alert I received yesterday detailing this further: www.microsoft.com/technet/s...8-oct.mspx
As far as I can tell there are not any updates posted for MS Office 2008 for Mac.
IF you are running Windows then you will want to make sure you have these patches.
