Do I need to worry?

I was working on my iMac 20 1.8GHz flat panel Power PC OS 10.4.9 Machine (two years old) When it just clicked shut off and restarted all by itself. I have not experienced this before... Is this something I need to worry about? (Aside from the fact that If it happens again I could be working on something important that could get lost)

    my thoughts are:

    1) bad ram
    2) overheating

you can probably find some shareware application to watch the cpu temp (there are some dashboard widgets that do this).
and i'd open the machine up and make sure the ram is seated firmly. the OS will check the ram at boot, but loose ram (or ram that develops a problem when it heats up) can be harder to identify.
